Diaphragm Valve

VTON diaphragm valves utilize a flexible diaphragm to control flow by separating the valve body and bonnet cavity. With no valve stems, gaskets, or directional seats, these valves offer superior stability and eliminate risks of rust or sticking. Ideal for handling corrosive, viscous, and slurry media, they ensure reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

Available in various designs such as weir, straight-through, and angle types, VTON’s diaphragm valves are crafted from durable materials with options for rubber or plastic linings. Designed for low-pressure systems, they are perfect for chemical processing, water treatment, and applications involving aggressive chemicals or abrasive media.

Description

1. Overview of Diaphragm Valve

Diaphragm valves operate by using pipeline pressure to press a reinforced rubber diaphragm to open or close the valve. When pressure is released, the diaphragm lifts to reopen the flow path. With the diaphragm as the only moving part in contact with the media, these valves eliminate corrosion and leakage issues associated with traditional valve designs.

Types Available:

  • Weir diaphragm valve
  • Straight-through diaphragm valve
  • Globe diaphragm valve
  • Angle diaphragm valve
  • Gate diaphragm valve

3. Product Features

  1. Corrosion Protection: The diaphragm isolates internal valve components from the media, ensuring no corrosion of the stem or bonnet.
  2. Leak-Free Design: Soft-sealed diaphragms provide excellent sealing performance, eliminating the need for packing glands and preventing external leakage.
  3. Versatile Applications: Suitable for low-pressure and moderate-temperature systems, including highly corrosive or viscous media.
  4. Low Flow Resistance: Streamlined design minimizes fluid resistance.
  5. Media Contact Limited: Only the valve body and diaphragm come into contact with the media, allowing use with abrasive or suspended solids.
  6. Durable Construction: Designed for long-term reliability with easy maintenance and periodic diaphragm replacement based on media characteristics.
