Description
1. Overview of Air Booster Pump
The VTON Air Booster Pump is an advanced device designed to enhance air pressure in industrial compressed air systems. By utilizing the principle of transferring low-pressure gas on a large piston area to high-pressure gas on a small piston area, the pump efficiently boosts air pressure without the need for external power sources. Suitable for single air source operations, it is widely used in industries requiring higher air pressure levels for improved efficiency and performance.
2. Key Features
- Multi-Gas Source Compatibility: Operates with compressed air, nitrogen, and other gases as the driving source.
- Automatic Pressure Maintenance: Automatically compensates for pressure drops in the system to maintain consistent pressure levels.
- Adjustable Output Pressure: Allows for infinitely variable pressure adjustment to meet specific requirements.
- Energy Efficiency: Stops consuming energy when the desired pressure is reached, ensuring efficient operation.
- Compact Design: Requires minimal installation space, making it suitable for tight industrial setups.
- Long-Term Pressure Retention: Can maintain pressure over extended periods without energy consumption.
- Durable Construction: Performs reliably in dusty, humid, and harsh environmental conditions.
- Explosion-Proof Capability: Driven by compressed gas, making it ideal for explosion-proof applications.
- No Overheating: Prevents overheating of the medium during pressure retention, prolonging the life of the system.

4. Working Principle
The air booster pump operates by leveraging the area ratio between the driving piston and the pressurized piston. The larger diameter driving cylinder converts low-pressure gas (0–0.8 MPa) into high-pressure gas on the smaller piston area through Pascal’s Law. The formula used is:
Driving Cylinder Area × Driving Pressure = High Pressure Cylinder Area × Resultant Pressure.
This allows the pump to achieve efficient and precise pressure boosting.
5. Applications
VTON Air Booster Pumps are versatile and can be applied in the following areas:
- Natural Gas Pressure Boosting: Enhancing the pressure of natural gas systems for improved performance.
