Description
1. Overview of Low Temperature Ball Valve
Low-temperature ball valves are essential for controlling cryogenic media in applications such as ethylene plants, LNG storage tanks, natural gas satellite stations, and liquid oxygen systems. VTON’s valves undergo special cryogenic treatment to release material stress, enhance performance, and prevent leakage due to temperature-induced deformation.
Key Applications:
- LNG, LPG, and liquid hydrocarbon systems
- Liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon storage tanks
- Cryogenic processing equipment in petrochemical and air separation industries
2. Technical Parameters
- Nominal Diameter: DN10-DN1000mm
- Nominal Pressure: PN4.0MPa
- Applicable Media: Liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrocarbon, LNG, LO2, LN2, LAR
- Temperature Range: -196℃ to 80℃
- Material: Stainless steel
- Sealing & Packing: PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
- Actuation Options: Electric, pneumatic
- Connection Types: Flange, threaded, welded
3. Features
- Temperature Resilience: Pressure-bearing materials withstand expansion, contraction, and sealing structure deformation caused by extreme temperature changes.
- Cryogenic Treatment: Parts are subjected to liquid nitrogen cooling (-192℃) to enhance material stability and reduce stress.
- Long-Neck Valve Cover: Ensures the packing box remains insulated from low temperatures, maintaining sealing performance and reducing energy loss.
- Enhanced Stem Reliability: Chrome plating or nitriding treatment improves stem hardness and packing seal reliability for temperatures below -100℃.
- Abnormal Pressure Prevention: Features a design to prevent pressure buildup from medium gasification, with options for pressure relief valves or chamber-to-inlet connections.
- Advanced Gaskets: Provides reliable sealing and recovery under normal, low-temperature, and fluctuating conditions.
